Here’s a fun exercise to understand what were saying about cleaning Berber carpet. We’re going to pretend your fingers are carpet fibers – first hold your hand in front of you. Point your fingers straight up this represents cut pile carpet. It’s pretty easy to clean each”finger” or carpet fiber 360 degrees. Bend your fingers at the second knuckle and this will represent Berber and now you can see its still easy to clean the outside of your finger but very difficult to clean the “loop” or bent part of your finger. In fact, to clean that part of your finger you must un bend your finger to clean in the crease or bend. See the illustration.
