3-01-2012 Baltimore Carpet Repair Assisting Rouse Carpet Cleaners by Carpet Repair Baltimore | Mar 1, 2012 Baltimore Carpet Repair was called by Rouse Carpet Cleaners to repair a patch on a job they were doing the carpet cleaning. Our team was out in 15 minutes. We weren’t sure if it was pet damage, open seam, rip, or tear. The homeowner cut a patch out themselves. Many times homeowners think they are helping by trying to do some of the work themselves, but what happens is that they end up making it worse like in this case. The carpet is berber which means it has a loop pile meaning one continuous thread, and if not handled correctly can become a much bigger problem. The reason being is that berber with just one strand can be pulled out like a loose thread on your clothes running the entire lenght of the carpet. The second problem was that the cut out was not square, and it was on a seam with seam tape. All in all a difficult and challenging job which we love! .
