The Parvizian family owns Parvizian Masterpieces located for over 30 years in Annapolis, MD.  As a premier dealer of oriental rugs you can find them at 164 Jennifer Rd in Annapolis, MD.  This was a challenging project but the chocolates Mrs… Parvizian was giving us made it a sweet process!  One of their clients had ordered a 60′ custom runner that they no longer wanted so the Parvizian family decieded to have it installed in their own home.   There were 2 major problems.  First, they wanted it over the existing carpet and pad. A traditional carpet stapler used to install runners is not designed to go through 2 pieces of carpet and pad.  A nail gun would have worked fine, but it would have left the silver heads of the nails showing.  Our solution…install additional tack strips over the carpet and then use the stapler to secure the runner to the new installed tack strips.  It worked beautifully.  Secondly, the set of stairs were broken into 3 different set of stairs with 3 landing all of which had angles.  Since the runner was in one long 60′ piece we had to custom our own cuts and angles.  This is why you see the borders line up but not the individual pattern in the runner.
