Martin & Jane are short selling their home in Cockeysville but were informed by their agent that a few things needed to be done prior to listing it. Originally Jane called Baltimore Carpet Repair & Cleaning for carpet cleaning and carpet stretching, but after inspection of the carpet and discussion with their agent it was determined that new carpeting was the best option. Their carpet measured 1575 sq. ft. or 175 sq. yds. quite a bit for a townhouse. The padding was good throughout the home with exception of the family room and dining room which measured 20 x 21. Here 8lb. moisture barrier pad was used. Since it was a short sale cost was a HUGE factor which had to be considered when deciding how to move forward with new flooring. We bet that nearly every single person in America knows someone who was affected directly or indirectly by a foreclosure or short sale. If so you know how devastating financially and emotionally it can be. We were able to help as much as we could and complete the project with mid-low Berber for $1500. We know $1,500 isn’t life changing but we hope it helped a bit. A light handyman list, general cleaning, and general painting will round out the complete work order.
