My friend called and asked if we could help with carpet damage due to cigarette burns. I informed her that yes we can help. Processes: We use a row finder to cut in the middle of the row between the carpet fibers. This will assist in getting a seamless look. We then used a straight edge to ensure a square cut. Again, the better the cut the easier to create a nice, seamless look. This is where technique heavily overrides the quality of tools. They say in our industry it’s 20% tools and 80% technique. I kinda look at myself as an artist in some ways. We then found a section of carpet that we could use to fill in the cut we made earlier. Since the carpet we used came from an area of the home where it saw no foot traffic, you will notice a slight difference in the picture, but I think we can all agree it looked 10 times better than before. The patch came out beautiful, and my friend’s mom was VERY happy!
